Seborrheic dermatitis is a common condition that causes red, scaly, itchy patches, most often on the scalp (dandruff), face (especially around the nose, eyebrows, and ears), and chest.

Management

It tends to be chronic with periods of improvement and flare. Consistent use of appropriate products usually keeps it under control.
